Abigale is a third-year medical student passionate about dermatology and integrative medicine. As an Osteopathic Medical Student, she believes that the bodily systems are interconnected and that disruption in one system can cause disruption in another system. Abigale thinks that much of our skin issues relate back to the gut and that sometimes healing the gut can heal the skin. This year, she trained for one month under Dr. Aunna Herbst, a functional primary care physician who trained at Cleveland Clinic. During this month, Abigale watched her heal Chronic Urticaria and other skin conditions simply by targeting the digestive system and using a holistic, personalized approach. Abigale believes that this is a much more sustainable and fulfilling way to approach dermatology and is excited to continue to learn more about Integrative Dermatology.
