Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 2020 IDS schedule be the same as last year?
To avoid any interruptions in clinic, IDS will be extended to a 10-day event from October 23 to November 1, 2020 during nights and weekends. We also don’t want to keep you glued to your devices all day, so the lectures and activities will be spread out over the week, including daily mindfulness, opportunities to win prizes, time to explore the exhibit hall, and fun entertainment, making this year’s Symposium just as spectacular and even more convenient. The full schedule is available here.
Weekend sessions begin at 8:00 AM PST.
Weekday sessions begin at 5:15 PM PST.
What happens if I cannot make it to lecture at the scheduled time?
We encourage all attendees to join us for each lecture at their scheduled time to participate in the lecture discussion and live Q&A. The recordings will then be made available at LearnSkin.com following IDS for you to access, at your convenience, for up to one year as part of your registration (no additional cost).
Will there still be workshops?
Yes! Four one-hour workshops are included in the IDS registration this year – one each weekend day starting at 1:00 PM PST. They will be live sessions over Zoom. Mark your calendars for a deep dive into these topics!
Will there still be an option to present my questions to the experts?
Yes! Each lecture will conclude with a Q&A. Questions can be submitted in the chat feature throughout the lecture and presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the lecture. We highly encourage attending the scheduled lectures live, so you can chat with fellow attendees and ask questions.
I loved the feeling of community and networking in the past. Will I still get this in the virtual space?
Yes! We are proud of our community and believe it is an integral component of the IDS experience. As such, we have designed a myriad of options available to all of our attendees to chat, connect, meet on the platform itself, or engage in lectures together. We hope you will meet colleagues across different medical specialties around the world to broaden your network and advance patient care together.
I am interested in presenting a poster. How do I apply?
