What will this experience be like? What can I expect?

Given the impact of COVID-19, we’ve redesigned our IDS experience online and spread it over 10 days to avoid device fatigue or interruption to clinic or school. We’ve also adjusted our pricing to respond to the financial impact our community has experienced with added value at a lower cost.

Here are a few things you can look forward to at this year’s IDS:

  • Extended to 10 days (October 23 – November 1) on nights and weekends, so you don’t have to miss clinic or school
  • World renowned speakers, panel discussions, workshops, an integrative toolkit, and access to the recordings for a year at LearnSkin.com
  • Weekend entertainment and mindfulness/movement sessions including yoga and meditation each day
    Virtual exhibit hall with prizes
  • Effortless engagement with colleagues from around the world – no app, software, or plugins needed – just a good internet connection
  • Virtual poster room with the latest research findings in integrative dermatology

Our speakers have prepared comprehensive lectures from the latest in dermatological research. Their goal? To equip you with the best tools and knowledge in integrative medicine you can incorporate into your clinic.

IDS 2020 is offering 20+ lectures, 5 panels, 4 workshops and more than 18 CME credits! It will be available in your own home or clinic on any computer, tablet, and mobile device with an internet connection.

This year’s IDS will have everything from past years and more, such as mindfulness practices throughout the week, evening entertainment, immersive panels discussing the latest trends and advancements, collaboration among colleagues, building upon our incredible community, fun, and prizes! We are excited to offer a state of the art interactive platform for messaging, networking, and sharing ideas among speakers, attendees, and exhibitors.

We can’t wait to “see” you there!

Will the schedule be the same?

To avoid any interruptions in clinic, IDS will be extended to a 10-day event from October 23 to November 1, 2020 during nights and weekends. We also don’t want to keep you glued to your devices all day, so the lectures and activities will be spread out over the week, including daily mindfulness, opportunities to win prizes, time to explore the exhibit hall, and fun entertainment, making this year’s Symposium just as spectacular and even more convenient. The full schedule is available here.

Weekend sessions begin at 8:00 AM PST.
Weekday sessions begin at 5:15 PM PST.

What happens if I cannot make it to lecture at the scheduled time?

Attendees are encouraged to begin exploring the event website upon registering, build your profile, set your agenda, and familiarize yourself with the platform. Once a lecture has become available, it will remain on the site through November 1, 2020. This gives you the option to attend at your own pace and convenience. The recordings will then be made available at LearnSkin.com for one year as part of your registration (no additional cost).

Will there still be an option to present my questions to the experts?

Yes! Each lecture will conclude with a Q&A. Questions can be submitted in the chat feature throughout the lecture and presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the lecture. We highly encourage attending the scheduled lectures live, so you can chat with fellow attendees and ask questions.

Will there still be workshops?

Four one-hour workshops are included in the IDS registration this year – one each weekend day starting at 1:00 PM PST. They will be live sessions over Zoom. Mark your calendars for a deep dive into these topics!

I have loved the feeling of community and networking in the past. Will I still get this in the virtual space?

We are proud of our community and believe it is an integral component of the IDS experience. As such, we have designed a myriad of options available to all of our attendees to chat, connect, meet on the platform itself, or engage in lectures together. We hope you will meet colleagues across different medical specialties around the world to broaden your network and advance patient care together.

I am interested in presenting a poster. How do I apply?

Please submit your research abstract by August 31, 2020.
