Are you stuck in the past or preoccupied with the future?
Do you want to lead a more purposeful life, become a better practitioner, colleague, parent or friend?
Then join us for this morning mindfulness session!
Mindfulness is a deep, innate sense that lies within all of us. It is one which, if we know how, can be called upon to help us meet challenges with more resilience, and to embrace the joys of life with more appreciation and awareness. It can help us reduce stress, reactivity, burnout and the disabling health effects that stress can bring. Mindfulness teaches us a way of taking charge of our lives, and in fact, relate differently to each moment of our lives. Mindfulness can also make us better practitioners and providers for those who need our help. This session will review the various aspects of mindfulness practice, the ways mindfulness can help reduce stress and the science that supports the practices. We will also incorporate hands-on learning of several simple yet effective mindfulness practices and discuss how mindfulness can be integrated into daily life at work and at home.
Learning Objectives:
